In, 1959, Herbert Jordan began Jordan Electric. On October 3, 1966, Mr. Jordan incorporated in the State of West Virginia as Jordan Electric Company, Inc.
In 1992, Jim Smith became a part owner and the corporation’s name was officially changed to Jordan-Smith Electric Company, Inc. In 2009, the company ownership changed to Jim and his son, Travis Smith.
Over the decades, Jordan-Smith Electric Company has grown from a small family business serving the electrical needs of the Huntington, Ashland, Ironton Tri-State area into a 2nd-generation, family-owned business targeting large commercial projects. During this time, Jordan-Smith Electric has provided electrical construction and maintenance needs for the area hospitals, school systems, universities, and industrial facilities with a trained workforce.
Jordan-Smith Electric continues to provide construction management, electrical installation and design assistance for its existing customers, as well as growing with new business partners.
